SecuGen Hamster IV Biometric Scanner (HSDU04P) The SecuGen Hamster IV is a USB optical fingerprint reader. It’s built for law enforcement, government, and enterprise identity verification. The Hamster IV captures fingerprint images at 508 DPI resolution and ships with a removable weighted stand for stable desktop use. It also meets FBI FIPS 201 (PIV) and Mobile ID FAP 10 image quality specifications. Sensor Technology and Capture Speed The Hamster IV uses SecuGen’s patented SEIR (Surface Enhanced Irregular Reflection) optical sensor.
