With the Electric drive planters, there are very tight voltage tolerances. We don’t want some lights to shut down a great planting experience!!! So, the question is, how do we fix this? Well, we added a Cab Control Cable with Master Switch in the cab and a Frame harness with dedicated power to isolate our system.No problem-o Jack, you’re rollin now! It’s a pretty easy installation. There is a 6 way water-tight Deutsch connector at the hitch for easy disconnect.Question is asked a lot: Is this only for John Deere E-Series? Nope. You can run this on any planter you would like. If you want to use your row light as a flood light when you have to work on a meter, just stick it to the back of the toolbar and viola!Install the splitter cables. Download our drawing for recommended install here. Do you have to follow our installation instructions? Nope. Do it how you see fit!Install the controller. Generally, our controller will come with the power cable, relay, extra port for Master ON-OFF Cab Rocker Switch, all to match your planter.Tie in your wires to the controller and secure everything.Verify all cabling is secure and carefully fold your planter looking for pinch points.Sync your controller to your iPhone or Android for easy remote operation.If you want to be able to have a Master ON-OFF Cab Switch, you will need to purchase kit number: 9-7S-CAB-50. Simply unplug the dust plug and install the cable into the controller. Then, you can use your phone or the switch to control the system.Are these kits quality?We have used these lights for over a year now with a lot of success. They are IP68 ingress protected. (See more about IP Ratings) Feel comfortable in washing your planter and leaving it out in the rain. They’re meant to be outside!WE DO NOT WARRANTY PRESSURE WASHING DAMAGES. These units are not rated for a constant blast of a pressure washer. Treat them as you would any other piece of electronics on your planter.Warranty – do we offer a warranty? Great question. Yep. We offer a Limited Lifetime Warranty for our planter light products. However, we do not warranty stupid. It is your responsibility to install the products correctly and as recommended.
