Each zone can have multiple fire detectors (such as smoke detectors, heat detectors) and manual call points (MCPs). Conventional zones are typically wired in a radial circuit (end-of-line resistors are used to monitor the health of the circuit). Alarm and Indication The panel provides visual and audible indicators for fire and fault conditions. LEDs indicate zone fire, fault, and disabled conditions. Built-in sounder circuits provide an output to trigger bells, sounders, or other audible devices in case of an alarm. Control and Programming Basic programming options are available for configuring zone delays, sounder delays, and non-latching zones. Power Supply and Battery Backup Supports standby batteries to ensure continued operation in case of a mains power failure, usually up to 24 hours standby and 30 minutes in alarm condition.
